Adult Education
Mission: The goal of the Adult Education Committee is to develop ongoing and single
event programs that invite and encourage members of our community to expand and deepen their
appreciation of all aspects of Jewish life including culture, ritual and paths to a purposeful
and spiritual life. The Committee aims to foster a love of learning by seeking out knowledgeable
speakers and facilitators and by encouraging a scholarly environment.
Adult Education is for everyone who has an interest in learning more about Judaism, including
history, traditions, ethics, texts, customs, rituals, mysticism, spirituality, music and
liturgy. A variety of enrichment courses are offered through our adult education program.
Our joint programming with area synagogues and the JCC offers discussion groups, book reviews,
guest speakers and educational courses throughout the year.
