...through social groups

Every congregant is a member!! The branches of M'kor Shalom reach out to various segments of our congregation - including Achim (the men's group), the Women's Connection, Boomers (Empty-Nesters) and THE SENIORS.

Various activities include our annual New Year's Eve Gala, Party Expo, Comedy Night, Bingo, Fashion Show and day trips to cultural events. Educational and political figures are also invited to speak at Sunday brunches.

This committee works with professional staff to develop programs for the Jew-by-choice, those considering choosing Judaism and intermarried couples and their families.

...in Women and Spirituality

This group provides a sharing environment for women to explore the connection between personal spirituality and their rich Jewish heritage.

...in Caring Community

The Caring Community Committee reaches out to those within our M'kor Shalom family who might be in need of support. Programs include Shiva visitation, Bikur Holim (Pastoral Care) and Bereavement Counseling programs. The committee also is concerned with ensuring that all congregants with disabilities and/or special needs have the opportunity to fully participate in our religious, educational and social programs, and to feel warmly welcomed at M'kor Shalom.
