THE SENIORS

THE SENIORS is the social group of our synagogue members, age 62 and over, who have been enjoying activities together since 1990. Throughout the year, we host 7 gourmet Dinners, prepared by the group, before that week's Erev Shabbat Service, and 10 monthly Brown Bag Lunches on Monday mornings, with excellent speakers on relevant subjects. There are at least 2 bus trips a year, usually to Washington or New York City, including a yearly visit to the Folksbiene Yiddish Theater. Occasional informal trips are offered to relevant events in the Philadelphia area. Classes in Ballroom Dancing in series of 6 are offered throughout the year with excellent instructors. Newsletters are published to communicate all these activities and share general synagogue information. Program costs are kept as low as possible. Stan & Harriet Ginsberg are the committee chairs.
