Worship
Shabbat Service Times
Friday evenings at 8:00 pm
(except 3rd Friday of the month at 7:30 pm)
Saturday mornings at 10:30 am
(September through June)
Erev Shabbat Service Schedule
Shabbat Havurah (Renewal Shabbat)
1st Friday of each month at 8:00 pm
We will have musical instruments, ensembles (sitting not on the bimah but with the congregation), joyful melodies, free
flowing spiritual commentary by the rabbis rather than a formal sermon and maximum congregational participation without a
written text.
Shabbat Tzedek (Justice Shabbat)
2nd Friday of each month at 8:00 pm
This will be a more traditional service from our prayer book, M'kor T'filah, with a formal sermon on a matter of social justice.
Older congregational melodies will be combined with justice and peace themed music from American and Israeli folk traditions.
Shabbat Mishpacha (Family Shabbat)
3rd Friday of each month at 7:30 pm
Families worship in the sanctuary with an alternative service-in-the-round, Fellowship Minyan, in the chapel. Torah will be
read in the sanctuary (and a D'var Torah in the chapel), plus alternating use of prayer books and an eclectic mix of melodies.
Shabbat Limud (Learning Shabbat)
4th Friday of each month at 8:00 pm
It is during this service that we introduce Mishkan T'filah (the new siddur of the Reform movement). We will take a
go-slow approach and emphasize understanding of the prayers and the Torah portion. We will also learn new melodies.
